Know your limits

Responsible play

Skull & Ski is free and uses virtual coins only — but even the best skiers take rest days.

Games are entertainment

Everything on Skull & Ski is for fun. Powder Coins are free and virtual with no monetary value, and there's nothing to buy, deposit or withdraw. Even so, it's smart to keep an eye on how much time any game takes up.

Healthy habits

  • Take regular breaks. Step away from the screen at least once an hour — stretch, drink some water, rest your eyes.
  • Set reasonable play limits. Decide how long you'll play before you start, and stick to it.
  • Avoid excessive gameplay. Don't let games cut into sleep, work, study, exercise or time with the people around you.
  • Remember it's entertainment. If you're playing out of boredom, stress or habit rather than enjoyment, take a pause.
  • Out of coins? Call last run. Close the game and come back for tomorrow's fresh tracks.
  • Play when you feel good — not when you're tired, upset or under the influence.

Signs it's time for a longer break

Consider a longer break if you notice that you:

  • often play much longer than you meant to, or find it hard to stop;
  • feel restless or irritable when you can't play;
  • play to escape worries or a low mood;
  • lose sleep or neglect other parts of life because of gaming.

Talking with someone you trust, or with a healthcare professional, can help if gaming no longer feels positive.
